Artist KHAN MUFTIC climbs aboard

I’ve got some fantastic news to share. Director/Designer KHAN MUFTIC has come on board to help design the main characters of ISOH. I’m stoked because we’ve collaborated on past projects, so I know he’s super talented. And I know he’s going to deliver some phenomenal stuff… sorry Khan. No pressure man.
It’s also worth mentioning that Khan is located in Switzerland! We’re communicating entirely by means of the wonderful world wide web. Gotta love it.
We’ll be revealing more about the process of designing the main characters with a great featurette we have planned. So stay tuned, you’ll be meeting our heroic visitors soon enough.

saweeeet! I can’t wait.
Whats the process there? Will he send you sketches or is he actually doing the modeling?
Are you sending him some sort of discription to go off of?

Yo dude. Haven’t been on ichat in a bit. Been crazy busy.
Yeah. Khan’s throwing different sketches at me, and I just offer feedback and different directions.
The image in the post is actually some of the concepts… just peaks.
I was going to come up with a cool “timeline” making-of to show what the process is like. Pretty interesting.

Any news Wes ?

Some news. We think we have locked down the look of the sidekick character. We’ll be posting it for feedback very soon. And Khan is working on a cool video to go along with it.
Things have been a little slow. For the last few weeks I’ve been working on a lot of VFX and animation for an upcoming TV special tied to Ocean’s 13. Should be cool… but the air date is in a few weeks, so I’ve been up to my eyeballs in work.
But soon, ISOH will take priority and we’ll see if we can’t get this bird off the ground.
Also, you may see the blog look changed very soon. I’m trying to find ways to have seperate posts, one for featured, one for updates. That way I can make little posts in between the “real” posts.
Stay tuned.
